The Creamery Arts Center boasts one of the best-equipped clay studios on the Western Slope. The studio offers scheduled, ongoing pottery and clay sculpture classes, as well as open studio time for those that wish to work independently.
We offer people throughout the community the opportunity to work with clay in a well equipped and creative environment. The studio provides numerous potters’ wheels as well as hand tools, a slab roller and clay extruder.
We have a well stocked glaze room, with many unique glazes for participants to explore and develop slips and glazes for their finished work. The studio boasts multiple electric kilns and a Raku kiln. This gives participants the opportunity to explore different firing temperatures and techniques.
David Strong is the clay studio master. You can call him with questions at (970) 872-4848.
