Introducing Janet Gregson...
Janet started her creativity at age 7 on a Singer Treadle sewing machine. Early on, she had a fascination for learning new ways of doing things and working with various types of fabrics, fibers, and notions. Family, kids and college followed. Life happens!
Recently, as a multi-media artist, she learned to make crochet wire jewelry with beads, fabric bowls, textile art pieces, and how to apply the Zakka style to her work/art pieces (Zakka, a Japanese term meaning 'many things', has evolved into a universal design style that embodies simple charm and a homemade aesthetic). Janet currently lives in Crawford, CO with her husband of 32 years and they are parents of a son and daughter, both adults, who have children of their own. Her 2 grand-daughters and grandson are often the recipients of her sewing abilities and projects. She loves to travel, especially to U.S. National Parks or Monuments, photograph petroglyphs, read, and spend time with family. Janet co-owns Wild Country Keepsakes, a small, family-owned gift shop located in the heart of Crawford, CO, the hidden jewel of the North Fork Valley. The business also offers a small photography studio offering portrait and product photography. They were recently honored with the Business of the Year 2019 award. Stop by the Creamery Arts Center to see Janet's latest creations!
